NYT on mobile phone novels

The New Your Times’ got a great article up on Japanese mobile phone novels, actual “books” written via the mobile phone’s texting capability. Actually, it’s a huge phenomenon.

Given the cellphone novels’ domination of the mainstream, critics no longer dismiss them, though some say they should be classified with comic books or popular music.

There are some mind-bending quotes in the story as well, such as how books feature too advanced language, and nonsense like that, but an interesting read nonetheless.
